What is the “EIC Accelerator” in the context of “Horizon Europe”

The EIC Accelerator is the main tool for promoting start-ups within the EU's "Horizon Europe" framework program, which runs from 2021 to 2027 and which, with a total budget of no less than 95 billion euros, represents the largest research and innovation funding program in the world.
Switzerland was associated with the previous programme, called "Horizon 2020".
The Federal Council hopes to have the same status also for "Horizon Europe" and for the related programs and initiatives (Euratom programme, ITER and Digital Europe Programme).
