Increase the level of self-production of energy by decreasing the share of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by starting a virtuous path on the environmental plan and economic towards sustainability.

Enel, the innovative business line of the Enel Group, has signed an important agreement with the Ferrari, one of the leading brands in the luxury sector worldwide, which will lead to the construction of a photovoltaic system at the historic headquarters of the prancing Horse in Maranello.

With a total maximum power of 1.535 kWp, i.e. kiloWatt peak, and over 3.800 solar panels, the Enel X plant will make it possible to cover part of the consumption of various areas of the Maranello manufacturer's headquarters.

There is a car park specially designed for hybrid and full-electric cars

Oltre a questo Enel will carry out an innovative project in terms of technology and design, conceived ad hoc for Ferrari: a completely off-grid parking shelter that allows the production of energy through a 5,5 kWp photovoltaic system with double-sided panels and a 20 kWh or kiloWatt hour battery storage .

The system will allow the charging of the hybrid cars of the Emilian house and future full-electric Ferraris with solar energy.

Performance will be monitored by Enel X's Energy Management System, which will project data in real time via an LCD screen integrated into the infrastructure.

Once fully operational, the entire Enel X project for Ferrari will lead to savings of over 18.500 tons of carbon dioxide over 25 years

Four different sections of installations, started on the roof of one of the buildings

The project studied for Ferrari it consists of 4 different sections of systems, of which the construction of the first part has already started on the roof of a building of the headquarters.

Once fully operational, the entire project will lead to savings of over 18.500 tonnes of CO2 over 25 years, equal to around 740 tonnes saved per year.

The plant will allow the company to self-produce 1.626.802 kWh/year.

With this intervention Enel confirms the strategic approach to the use of energy in line with the principles of the energy transition, made possible thanks to an ecosystem of integrated solutions for the energy efficiency of production and auxiliary processes, the electrification of consumption, distributed generation and programs of flexibility to contribute to the stability of the electricity grid by generating further earnings for businesses.
