A "holotransport" integrated with Artificial Intelligence makes its debut

The Roman company Media Engineering is the pioneer of trans-dimensional travel, of people reconstituted in 3D images, for events and otherwise

The science fiction of the literature and cinema of the XNUMXs has become reality in the twenty-first century.
The Italian company Media Engineering is leading a new era of holographic technology, enriched by integration with Artificial Intelligence.
Holotransport, a neologism that combines the terms "hologram" and "teleportation", in fact indicates a trans-dimensional journey of people reconstituted in 3D images, but who in the flesh and at that precise moment find themselves in a different place.

From the cult film "Star Wars" of 1978 to the consultation of NASA doctor Josef Schmid

Many will surely remember a memorable scene from the 1978 cult film "Star Wars", the one in which Princess Leia appeared in the form of a hologram.
In the same period, the television airwaves were "invaded" by Japanese cartoon robots, which entered the collective imagination of an entire generation for their undisputed technological and scientific skills.
We arrive at 2021: on 8 October of that year we were able to witness the first remote medical consultation thanks to NASA, which teleported the surgeon Josef Schmid inside the International Space Station.
While the doctor was in his office on planet Earth, at that same moment the astronauts on board, equipped with Microsoft Hololens, were able to follow his speech and interact with him.

Overcoming space-time limits is simpler than you might think

“The advantage of holotransport is that it overcomes space-time limits, and for this reason it will increasingly become an everyday reality”, declares Antonio Franzese, co-founder of Media Engineering.
“Furthermore, the holographic projection of a person's body is extremely faithful to reality.”
Carrying out the holotransportation process is simpler than you might think, also because it has become an accessible technology.
Thanks to a "green screen", the person's figure is cut out and projected onto the holographic device placed in the final location.
Media Engineering has already successfully tested this technology during a live event that took place in Rome, demonstrating that this solution can be applied in any context.
In particular, the company carried out a holo-transport, bringing one of the conference speakers from Bologna directly to the Capitoline stage.

Company dedicated to 4.0 technologies, founded in 2002 by Antonio and Gianluca Franzese

The Media Engineering company was born in 2002 from the intuition of engineers Antonio e Gianluca Franzese.
It operates in the field of 4.0 technologies and combines its engineering know-how with creativity and multimedia to respond to the new needs of businesses.
Through the creation of holograms, virtual and augmented reality, cutting-edge software and applications, and the design of 3D e-learning management systems and gamification systems, the Italian company has a very specific objective.
It wishes to innovate, imagine a new vision of the future and create technological solutions for companies that aim for 360-degree integrated digital communication.
The Roman company has a turnover of 2 million euros and 15 active employees.
Media Engineering operates in the field of 4.0 technologies, one of the most promising sectors.
The company was also the protagonist of Learning Technologies in London, the main trade fair in the world dedicated to distance learning in the workplace.

Word of the inventor: "A camera and a green background sent by the speaker to Bologna"

“One of our operators went to Bologna, to the speaker's residence,” explains Antonio Franzese, “where he installed a camera and a green background in the professor's residence. In Rome, we mounted the hologram and, through our internal videoconferencing systems, we projected the figure of the speaker in real time, allowing him to interact with the audience".
And yet: “The amazement and disbelief that could be seen on people's faces was evident, perhaps because they had never had the opportunity to witness such a futuristic performance. But the beauty of this holotransportation solution lies in its versatility.”
“It is applicable in a wide range of contexts. For example, we can holoport a medical expert from one part of the world to another for a remote consultation, taking healthcare to a whole new level. Or we can bring an artist to an international show without them having to be physically present, opening up new opportunities in the world of entertainment. The possibilities are endless and we are constantly working to explore them."

Smooth, realistic conversations with humans on a wide range of topics

The next step in holoportation, already underway, is its integration with artificial intelligence, thanks to which holographic avatars can simulate fluid and realistic conversations with humans on a wide range of topics.
“This is not just advanced technology, but a paradigm shift in human communication and interaction”, concludes Franzese.
