Google continues to grow in Switzerland and confirms its expansion plans for the next few years, an ambition certified by investments in physical infrastructure and human resources.
The Mountain View multinational has in fact inaugurated the Europaallee Campus in Zurich, the largest research and development center outside the United States.
The vernissage took place on Monday 27 June in the presence of Patrick Warnking, Country Director Switzerland of the US IT giant.
La Google headquarters it is at number 95 of Kasernenstrasse, near the main railway station of the Swiss economic capital, in a country in which five thousand people are employed.
In fact, the largest headquarters of the YouTube development team is also in Zurich, together with the headquarters in San Bruno, California.
The video platform's goal is to be able to give everyone a voice, wherever they are in the world, and many of its most recent technological developments have originated on the banks of the Limmat.
Youtube has over 2 billion monthly connected users and 500 hours of video material are uploaded every minute.
Google's further step forward in the growth of the site in Switzerland will be linked to the definition of global sustainability strategies, but not only.
Thanks to cloud technologies and machine learning algorithms, a made-in-Mountain View data center today is on average twice as energy efficient as a similar average business tool and guarantees constant savings of 30 percent.
A succession of images allows us to make a complete, albeit virtual, visit of the Europaallee Campus in the Zürich Hauptbahnhof area and to recall the inauguration ceremony which took place at the beginning of the last week of June.
