Three years to organize training to support the PDO and PGI record territory

"Food-ER" will make it possible to design and launch, within the next three years, a set of training activities such as to give young people the tools to work and give new answers in agri-food, looking at full sustainability, also in relation to the scarcity of global resources and climate change: second level master's, master's degree, advanced training dedicated to companies, strengthening of research doctorates.
And to do so starting from the regional Food Valley, a sector of excellence in Italy and internationally, with the European record of PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) products as well as companies and industrial groups known all over the world, as well as craft knowledge and traditions.

Stefano Bonaccini: "A national hub of knowledge to take up the challenge of sustainability"

“Let's create a national hub for teaching and skills in a sector where our region makes the quality of the world win, to attract young people here who can help us in the challenge of sustainability, the competitiveness of our businesses and good work. And once again we are doing it as a regional system, putting ourselves together: universities, research centres, large groups and realities with strong territorial roots and tradition. As a Region, we give the impetus and support the birth of 'Food-ER', thanking all the subjects involved for the positive response and the commitment to implement it, starting with the Rectors"he said Stefano Bonaccini, "Governor" of the Emilia Romagna region.
“Let's retrace the path we opened with MUNER, the Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna, which today attracts hundreds of girls and boys from all over the world with its international degree courses in automotive engineering, and it is no coincidence that innovative answers on ecological engines and modern vehicles are already arriving from their faculties. In the same way, we also want a new push on research and innovation to come from the Food Valley in such an important sector as the agri-food sector, which serves our territory and the country".
