The gentle innovation of getting behind the wheel prepared and concentrated

The tragedy of Rome, in which an absurd social challenge caused the death of a 5-year-old child, will have to bring us back to the car with renewed awareness

The accident in Rome that caused the death of a five-year-old boy is the tragedy resulting from the madness and challenge of five boys who decided to stay inside a car for 50 hours.
First of all, it is worthwhile for me to begin my reflection by virtually embracing the parents of the child who died in the Casal Palocco accident and all his unfortunate family.
Secondly, I really wish young people wouldn't take the reckless people of social networks, in this case the influencers of The Borderline channel, as an example of life and approach to road traffic and the use of motor vehicles.
Please do not imitate them, as the road is never and could not be a racetrack.
It is primarily us professional drivers who implore you not to drive powerful cars without having previously taken a safe driving course.
To drive certain powerful vehicles you need experience and you need to know what reactions can arise from the machine, with the consequence that you cannot and should not have instruments similar to green boys driven.

The need to respect ourselves, the mechanical vehicle and other road users

For years I have been fighting for young people to attend a safe driving course after obtaining a driving licence.
The tragic events of Wednesday 14 June cannot and must not repeat themselves.
I often talk to parents and my advice is to have new drivers take regular and serious specific lessons because the reactions of a vehicle on the asphalt are not a PlayStation game.
On the road there are children, elderly gentlemen, animals that can suddenly cross; there are weather conditions that affect a car's responsiveness and are often highly variable, such as rain from the sky or ice on the roadway.
You can't let a very young person drive a supercar without him knowing how it behaves in extreme conditions.
Not to mention the terrible risk of slipping into the passenger compartment under the influence of alcohol or drugs, when the ability to react is reduced to a minimum.
I really wish the kids would listen to these simple but sincere words of mine.
Believe me: real drivers, those with a capital "P", never get behind the wheel without being at the peak of their physical and mental faculties.
The gentle innovation of respect for ourselves, for the mechanical vehicle and for other road users is what we need most today: on the road, behind the wheel, you are always prepared and concentrated.
The drivers perform exercises to improve reflexes, train in the gym and on the track to spend many hours in the car in extreme conditions.

The Grande Raccordo Anulare of the capital is not the Monza National Autodrome

You don't improvise as a pilot: Rome's Grande Raccordo Anulare is not theMonza National Autodrome.
You have to be careful how you are before getting behind the wheel.
You must be genuinely fit, not having drunk or taken psychotropic substances, because your wrong behavior could cost the lives of other innocent people who are not to blame for your mistakes, such as little Manuel Proietti in the Casal Palocco accident, southwest of the capital.
I even read that, after the clash, the guys from The Borderline channel continued to film the events without realizing the drama that was taking place.
They did so without showing any regard for a twenty-nine-year-old mother crammed into a Smart with her three- and five-year-old children.
I hope this is not the case, that in the end it is not real news, because it would demonstrate more and more how these people think, who in order to acquire an extra follower would not have even realized the disaster and the pain they had caused.
My prayer is to let go of these crazy and dangerous challenges, which can bring us closer to death without a reason, as in this tragic case.

Article 117 of the Highway Code is not an excuse to wash your soul…

I would also like to say that I am thrilled that a professional who rents cars (in this specific case Gabriele Morabito of Skylimit, a point of reference for VIPs and local trappers), has rented such a car to inexperienced boys of only nineteen and twenty years.
I understand that everyone needs money, that article 117 of the Highway Code allows drivers who have been licensed for at least a year to drive any vehicle, but having a conscience is much, much more important.
It could not be otherwise.
How does an entrepreneur who rents cars fail to understand that, beyond strict compliance with the rules, renting a Lamborghini Urus to inexperienced people is like putting a loaded gun in the hand of a madman.
I would like the penalties for those who cause serious accidents and those who drive after having taken alcohol or drugs to be much more severe.
I would like the kids to take safe driving courses, always.
I wish there were more examples of joyful and responsible people on social networks instead of crazy and reckless ones.
I hope that the kids will listen to me: what we need, in real life as well as on the Net, is the gentle innovation of those who choose to get behind the wheel prepared and concentrated…
