The City of Lugano and the Lifestyle Tech Competence Center Association have announced that the LTCC competence centre, part of the Switzerland Innovation Park Ticino and the broader national network of innovation parks of the same name, will move to Lugano.

Starting February 27, 2024, day of the planned inauguration in the presence of media, speakers, institutions, Dagorà and Lifestyle Tech Competence Center members and guests, it will be hosted in the new Lifestyle Innovation Hub of Dagorà, at number 21 in via Pietro Peri, together with twenty other companies.

Dagorà will invest two million Swiss francs to renovate the building and furnish the internal spaces.

One floor out of six still available in the historic center, 25 networking happenings expected

On this occasion, a very well-informed source close to the promoters of the initiative announced, “Dagorà's investments will be detailed and next year's event plan in Ticino and the rest of Switzerland will be presented. In this case, the arrival of the Hub will be immediately accompanied by over 25 business networking, knowledge sharing and training happenings between managers of brand and retailer companies, technology and investors. The arrival of Accenture in the center of Lugano is also expected, as well as several other companies. We still have a few closed offices and coworking desks and you can apply for a place: only companies from the lifestyle, food, design, fashion, travel, tech, beauty sectors, investors and venture capital companies are admitted. In summary, the LTCC moves downtown to launch its 2024 R&D plan and laboratory growth…”.

The transfer of the LTCC Association to the shores of Ceresio is the result of a collaboration between the most populous city in the Canton of Ticino and the Lifestyle Tech Competence Center, which began in 2017.

It represents an important piece for the intervention area "Lugano, a hub city between the North and the South of the Alps", defined in the Municipality's 2018-2028 Development Guidelines.

In particular, the City has committed to working to position Lugano as a center of digital innovation.

Support for the development of the lifestyle-tech sphere in the Lugano area was ensured in a cohesive manner by the Municipality, Municipality and Canton.

The Swiss city, for its part, supports the LTCC Association and the research laboratories with 250.000 francs a year for five years as a form of aid to the competence center.

The Municipality is very satisfied with this transfer, above all because it represents a concrete growth prospect for the competence center and for the entire sector, thanks to the expansion allowed by the new headquarters, operational from February 27th.
