Lugano continues its 2018-2028 digital development plan, of which one of the effects, but not the cause, was the arrival in the city of Tether group, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency operators.
It should be remembered that, at the origin of the digital transformation of the municipal authorities, we find the progressive downsizing suffered by Swiss banking activities in the last decade and which, according to the latest reports, seems destined to continue.
At the beginning of March, the town hall of the Ceresio area therefore announced that it was making available to economic operators a package of training modules in the Blockchain field: the B4B Blockchain for Business.
To accompany the Lugano Living Lab-L*3, the Lugano municipal agency for digital promotion, the three academic partners who had already joined this initiative since last October: theUniversita della Svizzera Italiana (USI), the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), and the Franklin University of Switzerland (FUS).

The latter came to Lugano especially to congratulate teachers, students and the academic authorities, to whom he reminded that “Blockchain is a phenomenon that inevitably needs to be understood” because at the basis of the evolution of digital activities that will develop in the coming years.
The B4B training course examines the main issues related to Blockchain technology: accounting, IT, taxation, and the Swiss regulatory landscape, among the most favorable worldwide.
In this way B4B proposes to start a digital review of all those activities that until now had only found origin and justification in the paper formality.

Legal authenticity of the form and content of the electronic document with Papers AG

Let's make it clear to the uninitiated with a simple example.
Also in recent days, Lugano Living Lab-L*3, thanks to the participation of the Swiss company Papers AG of Zug to the circuit 3Achain, the office that is dedicated to the Blockchain within L*3, has launched a notarization service of digital documents right on the Blockchain.
Let's translate it into simple words.
If once the notary had to keep his deeds in a safe, today companies that already issue documents electronically can keep them in the electronic safe offered by 3Achain following the Blockchain protocols which, as in the past, digitally now guarantee legal authenticity of form and content, and record the creation, access and consultation of the electronic document.
In short, anticipating our conclusions, even in this case everything seems to change: but actually in form, not in substance.

Thus Lugano has evolved into the most dynamic Swiss digital hotspot

90 percent approval for local IT initiatives plus new entry Guess

It is now an established fact that the IT development we have experienced since the beginning of the century would have led contemporary society to become aware of the new reality produced by our digital uses, consumption, habits and expectations.
At the end of the two-year period of the pandemic, we can say that this turning point is starting now, and it guides us not to change our habits, but simply to update them, to reconsider them starting from a new perspective.
Again, let's interpret the numbers.
In Lugano, a city of over 65.000 inhabitants, since the start of digital activities there have been more than 100.000 accesses to the IT platforms of the town hall, with a consensus share of almost 90 percent in most cases, i.e. also shared by non-employees at work.
Until now, 300 economic activities in Lugano have turned to digital technology to increase their income statement, with the freedom to use cryptocurrencies as well.
But this data needs to be updated.
Because he recently joined the group of "digital" traders active in the municipality on the banks of Ceresio Guess, one of the global giants of the fashion industry.
