Video, the first tests of induction charging in Lombardy

Two videos illustrate the new power technology of electric vehicles being tested in Chiari (Brescia) next to the A35

Inside the "Arena del Futuro", a test infrastructure along the BREBEMI A35 motorway, the new induction charging technology for electric cars or DWPT (Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer) is being tested.
This is an innovative project, which will allow electric vehicles to recharge by traveling on dedicated lanes which, through loops positioned under the asphalt, transfer energy directly to cars, trucks and buses equipped with a special receiver, without them having to stop.
The construction and technical implementation of the 1.050-metre-long Brescia circuit, powered by an electrical power of 1 MegaWatt, was conveyed to Chiari with great satisfaction by the president of the A35 BREBEMI motorway, Francesco Bettoni, in the presence of Mariastella Gelmini, Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies of the Italian Republic.
Two short videos, lasting about three and six minutes respectively, describe the birth of the infrastructure and the tests that are conducted on it.
This technology allows electric vehicles to recharge while traveling on dedicated lanes, thanks to an innovative system of coils positioned under the asphalt which directly transfer the necessary energy to the vehicles (cars, trucks, buses).
A "zero emissions" mobility system, which includes different elements studied by the industrial excellences involved to interact with each other, such as asphalt, control units, cables, electric vehicles and 5G connectivity.
