The challenge of fast charging hubs along the roads of Switzerland
Green light to the FEDRO tender for fast charging stations within the perimeter of national roads and more initiatives for the electric mobility sector
The Federal Roads Office of the Swiss Confederation has published a tender for projects concerning the construction of fast charging stations useful for electric mobility.
The FEDRO initiative makes additional surfaces available to interested companies within the perimeter of national roads, thus promoting new private initiatives.
A complex network of fast charging stations is already active along Swiss transit routes, both in service and rest areas.
The availability of such infrastructures, widespread and accessible to all, is essential for the expansion of electromobility.
In order to encourage this transition, the Federal Roads Office adds a further step, making other spaces available for the creation of fast charging hubs.
