Truly Swiss “Digital Days” 2022 from Aarau to Zurich
In 18 different locations, between 5 September and 23 October, the "Digitaltag" audience will attend events, workshops, exhibitions and discussions
For the sixth consecutive year, the "Swiss Digital Days" offer citizens the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss and participate in numerous events on the topic of digitalisation.
For seven weeks, from 5 September to 23 October 2022, digitalswitzerland and its partners will tour seven regions of Switzerland organizing a series of local digital tags.
In each of the 18 locations, visitors will be able to attend events of a different nature, workshops, exhibitions and discussions on digital transformation.
Three supra-regional main formats and various online offers round off the programme.

Local dynamics to involve everyone: curious, skeptics and supporters
This year's edition of the major event combines a national vision with a completely regional thematic focus, with the aim of supporting the Swiss population on the path towards a more digital future.
With this approach we intend to make even more evident the importance of the digital transformation for the daily life of everyone: the curious, the skeptics and the supporters.
All dates, venues and further information on the program can be found at the URL www.digitaldays.swiss.
The traveling calendar includes the “Greater Bern” region (Biel/Bienne, Solothurn, Thun and Bern itself) from 5 to 11 September, northwestern Switzerland (Basel, Liestal and Aarau) from 12 to 18 September, the greater Zurich (Schaffhausen, Winterthur and Zurich itself) from 19 to 25 September, Romandie (Geneva and Lausanne) from 26 September to 2 October, Ticino (Lugano and Bellinzona) from 3 to 9 October, Eastern Switzerland (St. Gallen ) and the Principality of Liechtenstein (Vaduz) from 10 to 16 October and, finally, central Switzerland (Lucerne, Ritsch-Rotkreuz and Einsiedeln) from 17 to 23 October.

Regional attention, but national vision, thanks to two mobile "bubbles".
The connecting element between the different locations consists of two mobile "bubbles" which, from time to time, in two or three locations per region act as event rooms and contact points for visitors.
Each region offers a varied program that specifically addresses the opportunities, needs and demands of the respective inhabitants.
In this way, the population is invited to explore digitization within a framework that is already familiar to them.

Diana Engetschwiler: "Highly topical issues to shape the future"
At the heart of the "Swiss Digital Days" 2022, however, is also a unified vision for the Swiss Confederation".
“Our core formats address highly topical issues that will significantly shape Switzerland's digital future: from the growing shortage of skilled workers and the presence of women in ICT professions to the promotion of sustainable technologies and companies”, he adds Diana Engetschwiler, Deputy General Manager of digitalswitzerland.

A “Greentech Startup Battle” to preserve our natural resources
The need for solutions that allow us to live, work and innovate more sustainably is becoming ever more pressing.
At the "Swiss Digital Days" 2022, regional project ideas that conserve and protect natural resources, with a focus on sustainability, will receive the attention they deserve in the course of the "Greentech Startup Battle".
Through this format, together with the presenting partner Innosuisse, digitalswitzerland intends to network and strengthen the regional ecosystems of startups, giving them the opportunity to establish contacts with established companies and public structures.
The “GreenTech Startup Battle” is sponsored by AMAG Innovation & Venture LAB and Trustsquare.

“herHack”, the hackathon returns to bring women closer to the tech professions
Encouraging the presence of women in technical professions is more important than ever in light of the growing shortage of skilled workers.
With a share of around 80 percent, men dominate the tech sector. It is even more difficult for women and other underrepresented groups to make their way in this area.
For this reason, after last year's resounding success, another edition of “herHack” will take place, this time in a hybrid form.
Switzerland's largest women's hackathon aims to inspire young people aged 18 and over and give them the opportunity to create a network of professionals who share their ideas and ambitions.
The hackathon is sponsored by UBS, Mobiliar, PMI Science, AMAG Innovation & Venture LAB and Amazon Web Services.

“NextGen Future Skills Labs”, the technique for children between 10 and 15 years of age
The "NextGen Future Skills Labs" series of events, created in collaboration with Huawei and the University of Lucerne (HSLU), offers the school population of each region the opportunity to deal live, in a playful and collaborative way, with the themes of digitization and related future competencies.
Children aged between 10 and 15 will learn about new technologies and methodologies and understand how they can help shape the digital future.
The event aims to encourage young people's interest in subjects in the fields of mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology (MINT), to introduce them to related professional fields and to help them identify new strengths and broaden their horizons.
