Daniele Menotti: "A global promotion, and very close to reality"

Daniel Menotti, President of ated-ICT Ticino, is over the moon: “Today we present an initiative that has seen us engaged as an association for over a year in its conception and implementation. In fact, 'Swiss Virtual Expo' is first and foremost an innovative platform capable of responding perfectly to the modern needs of companies, which today more than ever have a strong need to promote their services and business solutions on a global scale through complementary paths . We have recreated a real environment, or very similar to the real one, where all users can interact with their surroundings or with other users. And we are very proud that this new virtual experience is promoted in the year of our half century of activity. Because once again ated-ICT Ticino confirms itself as the organization that sets itself the mission of informing, educating, inspiring digital technology, supporting professionals, businesses, associations, encouraging the creation of innovative projects that bring concrete added value to the economic and social fabric of Canton Ticino".

Cristina Giotto: "Already finalists with emotion at the 'Grand Prix Möbius'"

Christine Giotto, Director of ated-ICT Ticino and creator of “Visionary Day” need “Swiss Virtual Expo”, did not contain the emotion: “Today's presentation is a moment of great emotion for all of us, because with the opening of 'Swiss Virtual Expo' we ideally kick off a project that we have embraced with great enthusiasm for many months and which we are proud to be a finalist in the ' Grand Prix Mobius 2021'. In addition to our ideal ribbon cutting with the godmother Milena Folletti, today for the first time we are led inside the pavilions and virtual showrooms. We are, in fact, able to represent an immersive experience which, in terms of space and functions, represents the most advanced currently available on the market. But it is above all a first virtual exhibition experience on a Swiss level that we have the ambition, thanks to the support and presence of many companies, to make it unique on an international level. Indeed, it was precisely the exceptional participation of companies and partners that pleasantly surprised us. With Luisa Masciello, who accompanied me on this stimulating and complex journey, we set off in the spring with just one pavilion, our 'Ated Virtual Network' and today we find ourselves with a 'Swiss Virtual Expo', which involves our entire Confederation! Definitely not bad for our Ticino data processing association, that you are a young lady of fifty who is always on the frontier of innovation and technology! ”.

Milena Folletti: “This Expo is the exact opposite of a 'non-place'”

Goes on Milena Folletti, Head of Programs and Image of Swiss Radio and Television and godmother of “Swiss Virtual Expo”: “Thanks to ated-ICT Ticino for the invitation and to Cristina Giotto, with whom I have shared the passion for innovation and the digital world for years. I confess that instinctively when I saw the expo for the first time, the impression I got was that of finding myself in a 'non-place'. And non-places were thus defined by the anthropologist Marc Augé as places without an identity, detached from any relationship with the social contour, with tradition, with history. Then living a little inside the exhibition, inhabiting it, having the person who conceived it accompany me, I not only got over that feeling, but I rediscovered environments, relationships and points of reference that made me stay and really made me want to visit. and to interact. Today I can say that 'Swiss Virtual Expo' is much more than an expo. It is a totally new meeting place, in which to get information and training, get to know people or maintain business relationships. And it's a place, a platform, for everyone. Which does not exclude, but includes. Which does not deny the importance of face-to-face events, but offers a complement and an integration. Many people, when they hear the word digital, think they have missed the train. Instead it is thanks to associations like this that they can still take that train if they want. In its half century, ated-ICT Ticino has been and is close to everyone, from companies to citizens, from children to the elderly and has brought digital competence to those who want to understand and learn, regardless of their basic training or social background. I am therefore honored to be its godmother and, with the cutting of the ribbon, I wish the 'Swiss Virtual Expo' a lot of success by adding, let me tell you, with full knowledge of the facts, that fifty is really a great age!”.

Davide Proverbio: "A year of programming for digital growth"

David Proverb, Committee member and co-creator of “Visionary Day”, there is really a lot of good: “As in the previous editions of 2019 and 2020, with 'Visionary Day' we will give professionals and companies the keys to use and understand the technological solutions that already today fully implement the digital transformation. It is often thought that only Big Techs have the recipes to drive system and process innovation. But that's not exactly the case, because there are solutions and proposals to accompany small and medium-sized companies and professionals towards the digital transition. We have been working on a new Visionary Day concept for months. And since we developed “Swiss Virtual Expo” it seemed natural to us that Visionary Day constituted its backbone in terms of content. We are therefore structuring a very full-bodied schedule, with several round tables, webinars and workshops, which opens in October 2021 to close in the next year, i.e. in October 2022, with a formula that we think can return to 'touching' technology four years after the first edition.

Rossano Tiezzi: "A good 30 thousand square meters of stands per pavilion"

concludes Rossano Tiezzi, Commercial Director of Advepa Communication: “I am very grateful to ated-ICT Ticino for accepting the bet and the challenge that we presented to them just under a year ago. To think that today a single pavilion of 'Swiss Virtual Expo' has reached 30 thousand virtual square meters of stands and digital areas in which to constantly experiment and innovate is a great pride and responsibility. I am pleased to point out here that a project like 'Swiss Virtual Expo', in addition to undoubted aspects of sustainability, employs dozens of different professionals to be implemented and conceived in a complete way. There are more than twenty different profiles, but capable of working in teams and on highly innovative projects, even across multiple locations and countries. In fact, they range from developers and programmers expert in the creation of digital platforms, to designers and architects, capable of recreating the complexity of stands and arenas in a virtual scenario to follow presentations and webinars. And then, thanks also to training activities, trainers, event organizers and content creators are also employed for use on traditional and social media. These are profiles that until a few years ago we just couldn't imagine employing and which today have enormous potential for job opportunities".
