Success in pursuing an entirely new paradigm, a smoke-free future where cigarettes are a thing of the past, depends above all on the contribution of the people who work directly and indirectly in a tobacco company, especially if it is the most innovative in the world .
In Philip Morris, an American multinational based in Switzerland with its headquarters between Lausanne and Neuchâtel and with futuristic production plants in Zola Predosa and Crespellano in the metropolitan area of Bologna in Italy, real "templates" for the other factories of the group in the world , human resources are valorised, guaranteeing the ideal environment within which everyone's skills can be developed.
To this end, the PMI is committed to promoting an inclusive work environment capable of guaranteeing equal opportunities and treatment to each of "its" people, with a particular commitment towards the valorization of female talent and the elimination of differences in treatment between men and women.
This is a commitment that passes through a systemic approach to the topic of equal opportunities in the workplace and a series of activities and initiatives dedicated to its concrete implementation.

The success of Employee Resource Groups, focused on a particular "diversity"

Demonstrating that every change has deeply cultural roots, Philip Morris promotes Employee Resource Groups (ERG the acronym), employee-led groups focused on a particular dimension of diversity.
They are aimed at promoting inclusion, providing a platform to build a sense of belonging, visibility and a greater understanding of the different experiences and dimensions present within the company.
ERGs are led by a committee of volunteer employees and sponsored by a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
They are inclusive by nature and open to all PMI employees.
