Two films, in English and German, illustrate the operation of the two-lane viaduct under which work will soon take place on the motorway
THEFederal Roads Office (FEDRO) has devised theASTRA Bridge, a mobile bridge for construction sites, with two lanes, under which to carry out the works. The first use of this structure is foreseen in 2022.
It is a viaduct two-lane mobile, almost long 240 meters and passable to 60 km/h, bypassing the roadway to be restored.
The ramps have a slope of 6 percent; the stretch of motorway on which to carry out the actual works is approx 100 meters.
Innovation will be unicum, worthy of having Switzerland registered among the most innovative countries also in the motorway field.
