Improve the quality of life, promote sustainability and stimulate the economic development of urban areas.

These are the macro objectives of urban regeneration.

According to the first "National Report on Urban Regeneration", drawn up by Scenari Immobiliari and Urban Up, in Italy over the next twenty-seven years the redevelopment will concern 920 square kilometers of already built-up land and 350 million square meters of new realizable real estate surfaces.

Indirect consequences of 850 billion euros and 100 thousand jobs from future jobs

It is estimated that the direct effects for Real Estate will be 700 billion euros, while the indirect effects will be 850 billion and the related activities will be 750 billion. And 100 thousand new jobs will also be created.

Regeneration is an opportunity that is vital, not only for large cities, but especially for small towns, the jewel in the crown of the Peninsula.

Unique places, steeped in history and traditions, but increasingly at risk of depopulation and degradation.

In similar contexts, regeneration finds its maximum expression if it manages to integrate into the virtuous vision of the local entrepreneurial fabric.

A small village in the Alta Langa much appreciated by food and wine tourism

Cortemilia, a small village in the Alta Langa, in the province of Cuneo, with its 2100 inhabitants is a food and wine destination much appreciated by tourism, as well as being a practical example of how entrepreneurial attention to territorial welfare can produce concrete results in in favor of the repopulation of the territory.

Furthermore, according to the Scenari Immobiliari study, Piedmont is the fourth Italian region for redevelopable areas; Turin is positioned as the second most regenerable metropolitan city, preceded only by Milan.

Paola Veglio: “Even new commercial businesses, managed by young people from the area”

In Cortemilia, the entrepreneur Paola Veglio, CEO of Brovind Vibratori, has implemented a series of initiatives to "bring Cortemilia back to its ancient magnificence".

First of all by renovating and bringing back to life the historic hotel and restaurant in the center of the town.

“The hotel had been closed for three years and today it wants to be a point of reference for both tourism and business trips. The restaurant, however, was also conceived from a welfare perspective: with the growth of Brovind's workforce it became necessary to create new spaces to better manage the lunch break. 60 employees can have lunch here and the company pays 80 percent of the cost of the meal. Reopening the restaurant proved to be a winning choice, both for the inhabitants of the village, who had complained about the lack of a pizzeria for over 7 years, and for tourists, but also for our employees who greatly appreciated the initiative".

And yet: “The project has also encouraged the creation of new commercial businesses, managed by young people from the area, near the hotel. I think it's a clear signal that investing in regeneration and the territory is the right choice", he says Paola Veglio.

All 33.000 mXNUMX of the former industrial center of Miroglio to grow Brovind

But the urban regeneration promoted by Brovind has embraced another very important project: the redevelopment of the former industrial center Miroglio, abandoned for years.

An area of 33.000 mXNUMX to be redeveloped to allow Brovind's production, specialized in solutions dedicated to industrial handling on a vibrating basis, to expand.

The planned investment amounts to 12 million euros, “a titanic figure, considering the period of strong uncertainties, but it represents the only concrete opportunity to grow. The plant is designed to accommodate 200 employees, in the name of energy independence. It will be completed at the end of 2024”, says Paola Veglio.

“The 13.000 m5.0 factory will be able to count on a fully automated warehouse and will be a concrete example of business XNUMX, where technology integrates perfectly with the human factor. People and the well-being of society are central to the company which plays a central role in achieving them."
